Founded in 1986, the F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts is located within a 1938 movie house and continues to reflect much of the building's original art deco nature. It is home of the Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic and has featured many of the times biggest acts in music, film and theater.

The LTWB has been offering entertaining theatrical productions and educational community services since 1923. They also provide training programs for people of all ages. Throughout the season Little Theatre brings a blend of musicals and dramas to the mainstage.

The Dorothy Dickson Darte Center is the combination of two separate buildings at Wilkes University. The complex features the Blackbox Theatre and the main auditorium, the Darling Theatre. The cultural center presents performances and is home to the Department of Visual & Performing Arts.
